Comedian Mike Vecchione to Perform at State Theatre

If you’re looking for some laughs tonight, check out the State Theatre. You’ll be treated to the comedy stylings of Mike Vecchione and you’ll feel good knowing the proceeds will be benefiting a good cause.

There will be two shows — one at 8 p.m. and a second at 10. The show costs $20.

Vecchione happens to be a Penn State alumnus and has been featured on Comedy Central, Live at Gotham, and the show Z-Rock on IFC.

Proceeds from the show will be benefitting Penn State alumna Dana Hardy. You can read her story here. Long story short, she has heart muscle disease and needs a heart transplant.

So this promises to be a feel-good show on two levels: you will help Hardy get one step closer to the heart transplant she needs to live and you’ll get to have a good laugh. For a sample of Vecchione’s humor, check out the video below.

Switch the Right Decision

I’m probably the only person who has spent my entire college career almost evenly divided between working for The Daily Collegian and Onward State. I feel like this has given me a unique perspective on Penn State’s media scene. And I’ve learned a great deal from both media outlets.
