Will Martin is Seventeen’s “Crush of the Week”

It’s been a big, big day for THON 2013 Overall Will Martin. Not only has he been working hard on THON, received one of Joe Paterno’s ties from Jay Paterno, but he has received the honor of being Seventeen Magazine’s “Crush of the Week.” The love and affection of Seventeen Magazine’s love editor Devin Tomb, a 2010 Penn State graduate, Martin was selected because of the amazing work he has done with THON.

Though some of her past “Crush of the Week” choices have included actors like Eddie Redmayne from Les Mis, and Robert Pattinson from the Twlight series, Tomb had to give a shout out to her alma mater, and to THON.

In her article on Seventeen.com, she wrote, “The weekend is one of my favorite things about Penn State, and when I look around at the thousands of students and the millions of dollars raised at the end of the weekend, I’m always so proud that a student like Will—someone YOUR age—was in charge of something that will change the lives of thousands of children. So good luck to Will, all of the student volunteers, and especially the dancers this weekend!”

Tomb’s article is just another example of the attention THON is getting this year. Earlier four of the Kardashians tweeted about THON, and #THON13 trended in the United States on Twitter.

Thespians to “Succeed in Business”

What is the link between a how to book, jealous business colleagues, knitting, and a treasure hunt? The musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, the latest performance from the Penn State Thespians. Playing this Thursday through Saturday in Schwab Auditorium, this classic musical-comedy brings together the talents of actors, dancers, musicians, set designers, and costumers to transport their audience to 1960s New York and the wacky World Wide Wicket Corporation.
