THON 2013 Breaks Record, Reaches Aggregate Total of $100 Million

After a year of fundraising, months of planning and 46 hours of dancing FTK, this year’s IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon managed to shatter last year’s total and raise a whopping $12,374,034.46.

Even with one less canning weekend, THON 2013 continued its seven-year streak of higher grand totals, with the help of personal and corporate donations, the THON store and other special events.

While last year’s total of $10,686,924.83 was the first to break eight figures, this year, the record books will remember THON 2013 as the one that put the Four Diamonds Fund donation total over $100 million.

Since 1977, when THON and the Four Diamonds Fund paired up for a common cause, $89 million have been raised, excluding this year’s efforts. All that money has been making a difference in the lives of countless THON children and families. With every cent raised, we come closer to eradicating childhood cancer. We will dance in celebration one day, but until then we dance for a cure, For The Kids.

Don’t forget, THON 2014 is tomorrow!

Here are this year’s top ten totals for the organizations that participated in THON.
