Penn State Ranked No. 2 University For Graduating CEOs
Move the hell over, Wharton. A LinkedIn study found that Penn State is the second-most attended university among current CEOs throughout the world.
Penn State and the University of California, Berkley (No. 4) are the only two public universities to feature in the top ten. The university ranks above all eight members of the Ivy League — the only two Ivy League schools to appear in the top ten are Harvard Business and Penn’s Wharton School.
Nike CEO Mark Parker headlines the list of Penn State alumni currently serving at the helm of their companies. The CEOs of Merck and PPL, among other big-name brands, also spent their college days in Happy Valley.
LinkedIn analyzed the profiles of more than 12,000 CEOs based in 20 countries to show the paths they took to get to where they are. The study used CEOs of companies with more than 50 employees and took into consideration both undergraduate and post-graduate degrees.
This high ranking is nothing new for Penn State, as Money Magazine also rated the university as one of the top ten schools for producing Fortune 500 CEOs. The numbers don’t lie.
